Policy Intent Extend-A-Family is committed to meeting its current and ongoing obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code respecting non-discrimination.  Extend-A-Family understands that obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its accessibility standards do not substitute or limit its obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code or obligations to people with disabilities under any other law.  Extend-A-Family is committed to complying with both the Ontario Human Rights Code and the AODA and is also committed to excellence in serving all people.  Our accessible policies are consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, integration and equality of opportunity for people with disabilities.

Privacy policy

At Extend-A-Family, the privacy of personal information has always been an important aspect of operations. On January 1, 2004, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) began to apply to provincially regulated organizations that collect, use and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activity. As such, this policy is to ensure compliance with PIPEDA, as well as to inform individuals of our continuing commitment to the protection of their personal information.

How is personal information collected, used or disclosed via Extend-A-Family’s websites?
